I had the option of writing this as a scholarly tome, complete with extensive footnotes.  That would have substantially increased length, but for most readers it would not have added much to the quality of the work.  However, much of my material came from a few places:

The FEC (Federal Election Commission) maintains all of its financial reports on its website www.fec.gov.  Massachusetts political financial disclosures are from the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance.  Most of the material I used was obtained as paper copies via Freedom of Information Act requests.

I have relied on several electronic mail lists for a variety of other statements.  The most extensively used were the libertarian lists at dehnbase.org, notably lpus-misc@dehnbase.org, the Massachusetts lists general@la-ma.org, general@lpma.org, masslp@yahoo.com, and ma-liberty@yahoo.com.  The various email lists of the Arizona Libertarian Party were also of value.  To my knowledge, most of these lists are not archived.

Let Freedom Ring! is the paper mail newsletter of the Pioneer Valley Libertarian Association and the Central Massachusetts Liberty Coalition.  Let Freedom Ring! and many of my other writings are available electronically at the http://www.cmlc.org web site.  My book Stand Up for Liberty! is available as an electronic book in several formats from Third Millennium Publishing at http://www.3mpub.com.

Bumper Hornberger's writings are available from his web site jacobghornberger.com.  A long list of individual libertarians supplied me with material from their personal correspondence, notably Ken Sturzenacker, John Famularo, Lois Kaneshiki, Paul Schauble, and Melinda Pillsbury-Foster.
